Retaining the original footprint and look of their 1910 bungalow dwelling was a priority for this family. Nestled in the Rockridge district of Oakland, a vibrant urban setting, this 1200 square foot bungalow emanated the charm that it lacked in space. Through our work, the owners were able to realize their dream of a 2,300 square foot two-story home with features custom designed to their specifications and needs of their family, while using green materials and approaches throughout this light-filled, calming space. We also designed a new guest cottage and music studio as part of this project.
